Quest for Independence

Quest for Independence (Quest) is an innovative program for young adults with ASD designed to build skills of independence, explore work and/or volunteer opportunities, and ultimately prepare the young adult and his/her family for the day s/he will leave home.

Quest uses a group model for service delivery to reduce the social isolation experienced by young adults after high school. An important goal of the program is to facilitate the development of friendships.



     Participants must:

     Be between the ages of 18 and 29

     Have Persons with Developmental Disabilities funding

     Work well in 2:1 participant to staff ratio

     No longer attend high school

     Be compatibile with each other


     Familes/Guardians must:

     Be compatible with each other

     Be committed to increasing independence of the supported individual
