Centre-Based Respite

Respite provides families with short-term, temporary relief allowing parents time to rest, relax and rejuvenate while children are given an opportunity to socialize and engage in recreational activities in a supervised setting.

The Centre's respite program will be staffed by aides and volunteers.

Who:       Children with autism aged 12 years and younger/siblings aged 5 to 12 years.

                 All children must be toilet trained


Where:    Centre for Autism Services Alberta, 4752-99 St.
                 Transportation to and from the Centre is the responsibility of the family.


When:     Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to Noon or 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Choosing your dates
: Families may register for an upcoming session on the Monday two weeks prior to the Respite date (no sooner).

Cost: 

Children with ASD - The Centre will invoice FSCD if you have respite in your contract.
Sibling - $25 per day, per sibling

Parents will be required to pay a one-time deposit of $75 that is refundable if more than 24 hours cancelation notice is given.
