Relief Services
Program Overview
Relief services offered by the Centre include community aide supports,
respite and work-related care, these services may be accessed only by families
that are currently registered or are graduates from the Home Based Intervention
program. Community aides are intended to assist the child with community
activities and participation. Respite is intended to provide the family with
relief from the day-to-day demands of caring for a child with special needs.
Work-related care is intended to provide the closer supervision requirements of
the child with special needs.
All of these services are contractually dependent on individual client
contracts with FSCD. Through negotiation with FSCD, specific aide support
funding can be used to access the various groups offered by the Centre as well.
